DEGNER was established in 1987 by motorcycle and racing enthusiasts in Kyoto, Japan. At the beginning, our main products were full order racing suits, which we still develop and offer this service today. This is our roots.
And nowadays, DEGNER is also known as the long established company which has the wide range of motorcycle gears such as saddle bags, clothing, gloves, boots, accessories and racing gears.

The polyester mesh fabric is comfortable especially in midsummer and windproof material is used for Winter. While giving consideration to riders' safety, Degner develops a wide range of stylish designs that naturally fit in town. The protectors on the chests, back, shoulders and elbows come as the standard equipment on most of our jackets.

We produce a series of leather accessories, jackets and bags with the traditional kimono brocade called 'Kinran'. The gorgeous appearance and high-class feeling are the main charms of the 'Kazan' brand. 'Kazan (花山)' name came from the part of the address where we are based in Kyoto and it means a flower mountain.

We are proud of our wide range of gloves with useful features such as knuckle protectors, reinforcement details, touch screen, washable, breathable, waterproof and insulation materials. Some gloves share the design as Men's but the shape is adjusted for ladies.
Our ‘FRTG’ series gloves (which stands for FRau Touring Gloves) are suitable for 3 seasons, Spring, Summer and Autumn. FRTG gloves ending with ’M' indicate the perforated leather models.

Two types of colors are available, the Beige and Brown combi can be a bright point on your coordinate. The additional piece on the palm side with the diamond stitchings is for durability and design.

This model has the combination of nylon stretch fabric and leather. The knuckle has the soft pad, the palm side is made of goat leather and the suede synthetic leather is used for the extra durability. The matching Men's model is TG-86.

The knuckle side is the perforated leather and the palm side is smooth leather with several holes on fingers. The knuckle has the soft pad and the design point with the contrasted color. We also have the smooth leather version, FRTG-77.

FRTG-90 Ladies' Deerskin Gloves
This pair of classic design gloves is made of washable deerskin. The outside seam of the index finger is finished with the outseam for better fit and control. The matching Men's model is WL962.

‘FRWG’ stands for FRau Winter Gloves with warm linings. Some gloves have thinner lining on the palm side for heated grips.

In the middle of 90’s, our main products were still custom-made racing suits, leather clothing and racing accessories. As a next step, we decided to expand our ready-to-wear products. After developing the jackets, trousers and gloves ranges, we also gave a focus on motorcycles saddle bags. The reason was that the racing enthusiast, Toru happened to start riding a Harley Davidson for enjoying a new fun of riding and had an interest to carry big luggage for touring.At that time, the American style, cruiser motorcycles were booming in Japan but having saddle bags on the motorcycles were not common fashion like nowadays. We, Degner were one of the pioneers to tell the charm and convenience of the saddle bags and gradually the fans were increased then it became popular as one of the standard equipment in the cruiser style.After years, we also released the reasonable, easy-care and strong nylon & PVC saddle bags and they have become smash hit products. (We now run a factory in Vietnam for producing high quality saddle bags and leather accessories, we shared generous feedback from our racing suits factory in Kyoto to improve the quality.)
This is the brief story of us, Degner and how we have created the wide range of products. We are now known as one of the motorcycle gear brands for the motorcycle beginners to veterans. You can see the full range of our products at our head shop in Kyoto where we all work together. The building contains our office, warehouse and factory where the skilled professionals work on leather repair works and racing suits.
